Studio Shot - Grinding

Grinding is a critical step in Copper Foil technique to fine tune the shape of the glass pieces and to maximize foil adhesion. This is a fairly new Gryphon Studio Grinder that we purchased after burning out a 10 year old Inland Wizling. As you can see - lots of light is helpful but darn those silly eye shields. I wonder how many other glass craftsmen remove them or flip them out of the way like I do.
